Graduated with a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance at the University of Alberta. Erin currently studies under acclaimed tenor John Tessier, and has previously studied under mezzo-soprano Elizabeth Turnbull, and soprano Miriam Khalil. Erin also holds a Theatre Arts Diploma from MacEwan University.

Some of her previous credits include Eurydice in Orphée aux Enfers, Mabel in U of A Opera Theatre’s production of Pirates of Penzance, Johanna in Plain Jane Theatre’s Sweeney Todd, Suor Genoveffa in Pop Goes the Opera's Suor Angelica, Ernestine in the U of A Opera Theatre's M. Choufleuri, and Adelaide in the Canadian premiere of Jonathan Dove’s opera The Enchanted Pig. Selin has also performed roles in Sondheim on Sondheim, 9 to 5 the Musical, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Guys and Dolls. She has performed as a soloist with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and Edmonton Opera, in addition to being a regular part of the Edmonton Opera Chorus.

Erin was the winner of  the U of A Concerto Competition 2022/2023  and the ECMS Scholarship in 2023/2024. Erin previously was awarded twice the Dr. Chowdhury Voice Clinic Award for musical theatre. She was  the 2023 student participant for the Rumbold Vocal Prize.
